i have an overland and replaced it with the Pioneer TS-SW2002D2. wasnt a huge upgrade but i do notice the tighter and stronger bass. the sub that comes stock seemed like cheap crap when i pulled it out.

Thats good to hear, do you have any pics of your build? Did you add any sound deadening to the sub box?

Alpine 8" oem subwoofer mounting depth?

I added dynamatt to the inside of my sub box and it made a pretty significant improvement in the overall performance. I would suggest trying this first before buying a new sub.

The hardest part was taking out all of the interior panels, just to get to the sub. PITA!

Thx for the Tip, how much dynamat did you use to cover the whole box?

Any tips in taking apart the panels?

Thx again

This is what I used as a guide to get at the stock sub box.

And I bought 10sq feet of dynamat which was barely enough.
