Alpine iLX700

So i just got an Alpine iLX700 (same as the iLX007 in the US i believe), and going to order the PAC RP4-CH11.

I've got a 2012 JGC Laredo with the 430 head unit without Nav. So my question is, with the PAC, will i retain all the original features? Such as the microphone position, steering wheel controls, and the ability to add the factory rear view camera (which is supposed to be my next purchase)?

Thanks!

Greetings,

You will loose the Uconnect features using the PAC interface, I do not believe that model has the iDatalink hookup which does retain factory features. With the PAC you can program some of the steering wheel features. As for the rear view, you might want to consider Alpine's, they have some nice one out their.

Best for now.

Thanks!

By loosing the UConnect (which I'm not too fussed about really) i pressure this means i loose the factory microphone? Or can i keep that?

Do you know of any adapters that would retain the factory steering wheel buttons and the microphone?

The only reason i was looking the factory rear view camera was because its the only one that looks really factory. All the other camera look big and clunky and don't really blend in that well. This is just my personal opinion obviously. I'm still open to suggestion if someone can show me one that looks factory.

Thanks!

Re: Alpine iLX700

Greetings,

Yes, you loose the factory microphone. Check the Alpine site, you should get a microphone included. This will get wired directly to the Alpine IILX700.

Now, with PAC harness you can program the audio control buttons on the steering wheel. The PAC overrides many of the Uconnect functions. In short, you should have no problem.

I still have my factory camera hookup up to my Pioneer Headunit with the PAC. Check the wiring diagram on how to hook it up. Right now, I can not remember if I used another PAC adapter. But it will work once it is installed with no issues.

Good luck and have fun.

Best for now.
