I think it works on all "N" radios at least.

Uh...what happend to the old Mopar days back in the 70s. When one would order a Hemi, or 440/6pak Chally or Cuda, trac-pak, and check off AM radio (2 watts) option. No one cared about radio's...!!!

Bottom line, I'm happy and won't be changing anything.
The Infiniti system improved a ton with the g37, much mor accurate and less boomy. The 10 inch subs in the front doors were fantastic.

The sound was o.k. in the Jeep but nothing like the sound delivered by the ELS system. The Jeep did not appear to have the true 5.1 surround sound
which the ELS system has. I then played the disc in my Acura. Even the Jeep sales guy was impressed!

For those not familiar with it, the ELSsystem must be heard to be believed. It blows away all previous OEM systems I have had including Mark Levinson and Bose.
@ Donnie : Not in the market for an Acura but definitely need to check out this ELS system...thanks for head up

Re: Alpine Premium Factory Audio System

Is there a setting on the radio or evic to change from stereo to surround in the 2011 Summit? I remember on my 09 SRT8 there was an evic setting to change this. I accidentally had my ipod playing music in surround and sounded like crap. I have the RHB 430N in this Jeep and the sound is not amazing, Id like to add a sub with more kick. Anyone know how to do this easily?

If I had a 1971 440/6 pack 'Cuda I would not care about the radio either!

If I remember correctly, Panasonic is the OEM for the ELS system for Acura vehicles.

I sold my '09 Acura with ELS and bought the WK2 Limited Cherokee. Although I like my Cherokee and the systems is pretty good, its nowhere near the level of quality, sound stage, or detail the may Acura had with a DVD-A disc in it. Its taken me a while to admit that after listening to lots of different input sources and tracks on different discs, etc.

With that said, I ran out of good DVD-A discs to buy to play in the Acura, and ended up listening to Satellite Radio and other CDs most of the time anyhow. While the Acura was a neat audio "demo" environment (for the most part that's what it ended up being with limited DVD-A discs yet), I was able to give all of it up to get the WK2 for many other reasons than great audio.
i do sometimes miss the ELS, but its easy to forget about it with the new WK2

No one has mentioned this yet that I have seen, I am interested in a cleaner bass with a deeper response (50-60hz) and will be going this route in May-June.

Re: Alpine Premium Factory Audio System

All you need is a PAC adapter to run another amp and sub and keep your factory head unit and factory amp for the other speakers. If you go with the JL stealth box you are going to lose your factory sub woofer you know that right.

Re: Alpine Premium Factory Audio System

The whole idea of the Stealthbox is to get rid of the factory sub!!
You get a JL sub that is a much better sub with the Box.

I am getting ready to redo the entire stereo. Replacing the head unit with an Alpine that has Nav, putting Focal in the front and replacing the factory amp with ARC units. No need for the rear speakers, center channel or rear pillars. They sound bad and replacing all of these for surround audio....why???
