Annoying Uconnect Traffic Alerts

I'm new to this forum so this might have been previously addressed. While using the navigation I am constantly bombarded with traffic jam alerts every few minutes. A prompt will also appear asking if I want to choose a new route to avoid the traffic and even after selecting "no" it continues to appear over and over again. This is extremely annoying and I can't figure out how to turn off this feature. I spoke with Uconnect and Sirius support and they basically said I would have to disable the Sirius traffic along with the travel links feature. I use the travel links often so I certainly don't want to discontinue that so am I basically stuck with this? There should be a way to simply turn off traffic warnings on the nav.

Re: Annoying Uconnect Traffic Alerts

Check the settings tab in the nav main menu. If there is a choice to turn off alerts it may be there.

Re: Annoying Uconnect Traffic Alerts

I looked through every menu just now.

If there's a setting, I can't find it. It appears the only way to disable that stuff is to not have a Sirius/XM subscription....

Re: Annoying Uconnect Traffic Alerts

Not only do I find them annoying and don't know how to turn them off, but they appear to be more frequent these days. On the other hand I do not get the prompt asking me to select a new route, mine is automatic, set for fastest route.

Re: Annoying Uconnect Traffic Alerts

It's all in the UConnect manual guys, page 365; TMC Route Mode. In UConnect it is under Settings>Guidance. It can be turned off completely or by 3 other options. This for the 8.4AN.

Re: Annoying Uconnect Traffic Alerts

No, the OP and myself specifically refer to the voice alerts of traffic jams. Often they are so far in advance and meaningless. If I set up the navi to use the fastest route, I expect the navi to account for traffic and adjust on the fly - which it does, usually correctly - but I do not want to be bombarded with traffic jam alerts.
