Re: Antenna too tall ..??!?

I have the 8 inch antenna and my garage door sits at 76 inches when open. The
tip of the antenna rubs against the bottom of the door. If your door sits higher you
won't have any problem.

Re: Antenna too tall ..??!?

I went with the "shark fin" from Visualgarage.com and am very happy with it. It is only 2 1/4" high and still gets decent reception. They now have the proper screw to attach the antenna to your base.
With the stock short antenna mine still hit the garage door even in the Park mode. Here are a couple of shots of it. They color match it to your paint code.

That looks great!
Can you give an overview of the installation?

Does that function for both Satellite and AM/FM Radio, or is it radio only?

Unscrew old antenna. Take wax remover and clean area around antenna base. Use tape to mark position of Shark Fin for getting final position correct. Use provided screw to attach sharkfin antenna lead to your base. Remove paper from tape on sharkfin and carefully position and press into position. Apply pressure for several minutes and you are done.

The satellite antenna is in your existing antenna base. The AM/FM is in the sharkfin. Satellite reception is not blocked by the new fiberglass sharkfin antenna.
