Any way to disable Siri Eyes Free

The new release is pretty buggy.
I'm hoping just shutting off Siri Eyes Free it might behave better.

Is it possible to turn off? Are there other new features that might be turned off that might help it behave better.

Siri Eyes Free is total hit or miss.
It constantly switches from USB drive to Bluetooth
The progress bar on track gets stuck.
It gets in this real bad laggy mode changing song with Next or Previous track.

That being said, for a non ICRAP user, I found the update to produce a more responsive screen and fewer black camera instances. It also crapped out my Android Phone - Uconnect pair as I am now able to initiate calls via UConnect but I am unable to receive it.

Some aspects are snappier. I even factory reset the Radio but that didn't help.

It constantly switching to Bluetooth Source is what drives me the craziest.

Re: Any way to disable Siri Eyes Free

I might have had a little luck.

I had been noticing my phone complaining about uConnect because it expired. I uninstalled it on the phone and it was more unhappy.

So I reinstalled it on the phone and it would still complain.

I then updated the Radio and Factory Reset.
And random huge lags occur.

Well I was just playing with Radio and it was lagging badly.
Then a big notice came up on the Radio to Setup Uconnect.
I clicked Never ask again and the lag immediately went away.

So I think it's been trying to setup Uconnect in the background and that was causing many of the issues.

Still likes to switch to Bluetooth.

And I can't figure out how to launch SIRI from Steering Wheel button.
It always just uses the standard uConnect.

If I hit the Voice Button on Steering Wheel and say Hey SIRI it seems both are listening.

If I just say Hey SIRI with Radio playing (and not hit Voice Button) it does not hear me.

So I don't quite get how it's supposed to work.

Re: Any way to disable Siri Eyes Free

I upgraded my software and I have yet to find a bug. Infact I'm finding it pretty cool. The siri feature has worked flawlessly so far and I'm definitely enjoying it.

I think you have to hold down the steering wheel voice button to get Siri, just like the home button on your iPhone.

Re: Any way to disable Siri Eyes Free

Anyone know where I can find the previous firmware? This the worst release ever on UConnect. It just rebooted itself.

Re: Any way to disable Siri Eyes Free

I may have figured out another issue.

It can't handle my large USB Drive I have with like 9000 tunes.
I pulled it out and it's running fine. Except I have no music now.
I may try rebuilding it the USB stick. My wife's 2011 VW handles it fine.

One super annoying issue is if the phone utters a sound the radio switches to Bluetooth and stays there.

Re: Any way to disable Siri Eyes Free

Thanks to @*sox* I rolled back and everything seems to work again.

If I left out the USB Stick and stayed on Bluetooth it all worked.

If I put in the USB Stick all hell broke lose. Works fine with previous release.

It does not jump to bluetooth if say I start Google Map or something it would snap to bluetooth if I was listening to USB or Radio. Which got old real quick.

If they want to do that, it should be an option.
