I was able to receive the notifications after enabling notifications on my phone. Thanks again!

Re: Apple Siri Eyes Free now available for 2013+

I updated mine from Customtronix all went well (Siri works to send messages) except my update on the screen says its 16.16.13. However when the update is done (USB still in) it will ask do I want to update from 16.16.13 to 16.16.1327. I reinstalled it but when done it will always ask if I want to update form 16.16.13 to 16.16.1327. Does the 27 mean anything any idea why I can't update to it?
Does this update activate anything other than Siri sending messages, I don;t know if Im missing something? Thanks

Re: Apple Siri Eyes Free now available for 2013+

I was originally excited for this update but after having it for a bit its not quite there yet.

In order to use siri, your phone has to be unlocked. Meaning that you cant just hold down the voice button to activate siri, you have to make sure your phone is on and unlocked THEN you can utilize the hands free siri. Defeats the purpose of not having to take your hands off the wheel to utilize it.

When responding to text messages or creating a new one, it doesnt know when youre done talking. I finish my sentence and then its complete silence as if it is waiting for me to say more. Sometimes it will wrap it up after a few seconds and sometimes not all.

The Siri function could definitely use more refinement before it is a useful system.

I am having the exact same problem with Siri not detecting I'm finished speaking and asking "shall I send it now". As far as accessing Siri when iPhone is locked, go to SETTINGS-TOUCH ID & PASSCODE-ALLOW ACCESS WHEN LOCKED and enable Siri.

I have the same SIRI problem - she takes her time realizing when I am done talking. I wonder if there is a time delay setting somewhere?

Re: Apple Siri Eyes Free now available for 2013+

This was mentioned back on page 4 I think, but have you guys tried removing the UConnect pairings from your phone and the phone from UConnect and re-paired them? I too had the issue that seemed like Siri didn't know I was done speaking until I did this.

Missed it on page 4. Thanks for the tip Jaybo, I'll try that.

I have tried this to remedy the lagging of Siri when sending sms text.
Start engine; after hands free system loads, delete paired iPhone; in iPhone bluetooth, forget uConnect; stop engine; reboot iPhone; open and then close door; start engine; after handsfree system loads, pair iPhone; wait for download of phone book.
Perform various Siri commands..."where am I?, how much is 5x25, how is the weather, schedule calendar appointment". No problem found. Then "send text message to (mention name from phone book)". Siri asks what I want to say. I speak my message but Siri is still waiting for more and does not detect that I am finished speaking until at least 60 seconds. I am not certain, but this may have started after updating iPhone to IOS 9.3.2. Has anyone else that is having this problem also updated IOS?

That's interesting and unfortunate. It sure sounds to me like you've covered your bases. Have you contacted UConnect by chance? It would be worthwhile to let them know what's going on. I've posted before about this but there is an issue I'm having with an iPod connected via USB that causes the screen to completely freeze. I had the same issues you spoke of until I deleted the pairing and then re-paired devices. Everything was working great for a couple of weeks and then I noticed the issue with the screen freezing. I logged a case with UConnect last week to let them know of the issue and to attempt to get resolution. I had already tried all of the troubleshooting steps they were going to recommend so the recommendation was to roll back to the previous release. They did share with me though, there was another version coming out in August 2016 that will have some bug fixes in it. So it would be worthwhile if you've not logged a case with them to do so. Hopefully this will get addressed in the August release or another in the not so distant future.

Re: Apple Siri Eyes Free now available for 2013+

Anyone have the following issues ever since doing this upgrade ?

While listening to something other then music on Iphone or using Bluetooth say Sat Radio for example.

If your listening and something happens like a text message comes in or an email or your looking through phone and scroll over a video etc it automatically switches from whatever your listening to to the music on the Iphone?

Not as of yet. Within the iphone bluetooth settings, I've disabled notifications. The only time I will get an audio notification for texts is only when I'm listening via bluetooth. SXM and FM seems to be uneffected.
