Yeah, the front speakers fit perfect; rear speakers I had to drill a couple of mounting holes.

It's for the non-SRT8 Grand Cherokee. Doesn't matter which trim level you have, those are the speaker locations and sizes. Now the base Laredo only has 6 of the 9 speakers, but still, location and sizes are the same.

Re: Audio Upgrade on Laredo

Sorry to revive an old thread but where would you tap an LOC? Behind the stock HU? I'm planning on wiring up my old amp and subwoofer.

Re: Audio Upgrade on Laredo

I have the same question. Where do you tap the speaker wires for LOC? I checked the speaker wires behind the head unit and the speaker wires at the speakers and they don't all match. I'm wondering if there are passive crossovers for the tweeters or even an amp that I don't know about. I have 2013 laredo E.

Re: Audio Upgrade on Laredo

Hello all. I tapped my LOC at the ream of wires under footwells in order to hide the splice when I change to an aftermarket radio down the road. (Also skiddish about having it hooked up in plain sight if in a situation where dealer has to pull radio out and cry warranty void.) I also popped in a JL stealthbox w/ Pdx v9 5 channel. Awesome output. I've had many different setups over the years with block shaking low ends but, I'm actually impressed how clean the sound with nice response, good low end and best of all, looks factory. Good luck.

Re: Audio Upgrade on Laredo

did you sum the front door tweeter/woofer? I can't seem to figure out where the front left/right door tweeter breaks away from the front left/right channel. I'm not sure if it goes into a crossover or what. My worry with tapping the speaker levels at the footwells would be that there's a chance that you're tapping the lines after a crossover. Thoughts? Do you know where the tweeter wires split off? I have the base 6 speaker system on 2013 laredo e.

The tweeter x-overs are slpit at the door s under the panel. There's full range at foot well. I did use a low output converter.

Re: Audio Upgrade on Laredo

I also have the base Laredo speaker setup. I want to start first upgrading the door speakers. For the front of the Jeep, I dont mind keeping the base tweeters. So, can I buy any aftermarket 6 x 9 speaker and let the factory crossover take care of the factory tweeter or do I need to buy special 6 x 9 speakers because of the crossover.
Was looking to purchase these.......
