Re: Audison Bit one installation

Greetings and welcome,

Which system do you have currently? The stock 6 speaker, Alpine or HK?

And what are your plans?

Best for now.

Greetings,

Installing the Bitone is not a problem, the question is what are doing with the front full range (coaxial) speaker. This then becomes a question of how you want to sum the signals to create a full range signal for the front doors and sub. The reset of the speakers will remain on the HK DSP/AMP unit.

Based on your setup, you are putting 2 tweeters in the front door, while using the passive crossover?

Best for now.

Re: Audison Bit one installation

Greetings,

Based on that, you are just using the 165XL woofer only to replace the stock 6x9.

If that is the case, since are using only 1 amp channel for the sub's, you might want to consider using the BitTenD. In either case whether you use the BitOne or the BitTen, you are going to need to sum all the front door speaker channels and sub for the full range signal. In conjunction with the factory DSP, your final surround sound setup will be a 7.0.

The HK system for the front stage L/R, you have 3 front door speakers per side. The coaxial is by your shoulder and it mix of the mid & tweeter with caps on it. You might have to include this in you summing to get the full range single. If you do indeed sum it, since you do not have any other external aftermarket amp channels available you will lose the use of the speakers. Which at this point you want to recover them, you will be dropping lots of money to do so. I believe at this point nobody knows the exact crossover setting of the HK.

Best for now.
