I have a radar detector to the right of the mirror, and a cellular remote start receiver (viper smart start) to the left. The problem occurred before those were installed. Until higher speeds, people I spoke with remarked how clear the Bluetooth was. Above 50, I cut out and people hear every other word, citing background static.

Re: Bluetooth Audio WITHOUT Phone

Just to verify, you don't have this problem if you use a wired headset or another bluetooth device under the same conditions? In other words, not a service provider or phone issue?

Correct. I now solely use my jawbone era.

Re: Bluetooth Audio WITHOUT Phone

Strange.

I've made many calls while going 70Mph+ and the people on the other endf can hear me just fine.

I'd suggest a trip to the dealer. Try another WK2 to see if it works better.

Re: Bluetooth Audio WITHOUT Phone

I'm trying to see what year this vehicle is. Did the 730 come factory installed?

Re: Bluetooth Audio WITHOUT Phone

hmm, I had thought that Chrysler had moved the mics away from the mirror for this very reason. There were so many complaints about the bad sound quality due to road noise coming thru the pillars and vibrated across the windshield. Not to mention the whoosh of air being forced up the windshield when you have the defroster on. You may consider just buying a MOPAR mic kit, unplug the mirror mic at the radio harness and install the new mic on the "A" trim area close to the drivers side visor. Similar location to the factory mic with the RES, REQ, RHB & RBZ radios. Just a thought.
