CD wont eject.. any ideas?

I'm trying to update the system and apparently the disc I used is a piece of sh!t cause I've done it before with no issue.

Any ideas on getting it out? It just sits there and spins. It does nothing when DISC is selected so I figured I'll need to re-burn a copy.

thx!

Re: CD wont eject.. any ideas?

You probably didn't do this but just FYI, if there's a label glued onto the CD, it can get stuck. I had to take my wife's Prius in for service when one of my kids did that. They swapped out the entire head unit (under extended warranty, whew!)

Re: CD wont eject.. any ideas?

heh, yeah definitely didn't put a label on it. I learned that lesson around 1998. My 'cool' custom CD labels killed my Pioneer head unit

Re: CD wont eject.. any ideas?

I had the same problem with the 730RHR. The first disc I put in was stuck in "reading" mode and wouldn't eject or play. I left it alone and it decided to work the following day. I haven't had any problems with it since.

Re: CD wont eject.. any ideas?

Funny you wrote this... Since my cd was 'stuck' I left it in there and went home. The next day my wife tells me the radio was trying to update something several times but since she was running errands, it kept trying and trying and never finished.

Finally, when she got home she let it finish. I checked the version last night and sure enough it updated... finally.

But the damn thing didnt wanna eject.

So I tried what Milous suggested and it worked.
