Cold weather dim screen

Wondering if anyone has had a dim screen when it gets cold out
I keep my setting for Brightness as low as it goes to help with glare, if I dial it up the screen gets bright and if I keep it on for 5-10 min I can set it low again. Yes that solves the problem but should I have to do that IMO NO. the reason I ask is, wondering if the radio is on its way out.

Re: Cold weather dim screen

I haven't had any real cold weather yet with my '15, but the NAV/radio display on my '05 JGC always was dim on very cold days. Once the interior warmed up it was fine. I think it's a "feature" of the LCD technology.

Strange...
I've never had a problem with my 430N.
Nice and bright unless I turn on the headlights and then of course it dims.

Oh, and living in the Twin Cities, my GC has seen some extreme temps both hot and cold.
