Custom POI to Nav?

I know my 2014 Overland Nav uses Garmin software. I had seen the site POI-FACTORY.com which allows to add custom POI's and red light camera locations to Garmin and TomTom Nav Units. Anyone of a way to add these files to the 8.4an system? I searched on the above site, but didn't find any info. Would be a nice feature to have red light camera locations on the nag unit!

Re: Custom POI to Nav?

You cant, its garmin, but not a typical garmin... the radio will not read the files from the USB port.

Hi,

I tried different ways to upload customized POIs but unfortunately without any chance.

The 8.AN is a very nice Multimedia System. But concerning the Navigation, Jeep has a few points which they have to do better!!!

Yes...the navigation system leaves much to be desired. The voice recognition with the navigation is HORRIBLE! There has been more then one occassion when I almost put my fist thru the screen trying to get the thing to understand the location I'm telling it! The nav on my iphone works 10x better.

Re: Custom POI to Nav?

LOL. Sounds like me. I haven't even tried to the VR for Nav as with most cars it's frustrating. Since Siri is a PITA I've been using VR for calls instead.

With Siri, I try calling the Vets and she keeps wanting to call some pizza joint. That's not good.

I was told by Jeep support that the Nav is NOT Garmin. I read that it was a Harmon Kardon nav system.
