The salesman told me that they received a call back and they were told that there was a shortage of availability for the 730n rhr and it would not go into production for another 3 months at least. Maybe this was a sales tactic to get me to buy the one with the 430n??
I was at the same dealer (I think) last night (Centennial on Arapahoe Rd), and they gave me essentially the same story. They have four more Summits coming (black, brown, white gold & mineral gray) and they told me that they all are coming with the 430N, not the 730N.
I am not sure if it is worth the wait or not -
The Garmin graphics are not great, but coming from no nav at all it probably will be just fine. It sounds like the connection with a iPhone 3G would not be a problem. I like the charging USB port in the center console - not sure why they would eliminate this connection for the 730N??
I am waiting to see Rugged Brown in person before ordering a Summitt - maybe by then the 430N/730N issue will be moot...
