Digital or Analog Speedo

For those with a choice, do you prefer the digital or analog speedometer?

Re: Digital or Analog Speedo

Analog speedo with the fuel economy indicator is pretty much my default setting.

Re: Digital or Analog Speedo

Analogue speedo doesn't work too well with the polarized sunnies I wear.

Digital speedo with fuel consumption is my setting...but with an SRT the consumption is just there for the comedy value.

Digital speedo with fuel consumption.

With so many speed cameras here, I need to know exactly what speed I am doing at all times.

Re: Digital or Analog Speedo

Speaking of speedos, how accurate is the Jeep speedo? In particular on the Grand Cherokee?

Have you checked it against a GPS such as a Tomtom or Garmin?

My TomTom shows 1-2 kph less than the Jeep speedo above 60 kph.

This is how I run normally, but lately the digital speedo has been up because my 16 year old daughter is learning to drive and it's easier for her to monitor things right now with the digital speedo as she learns to go a constant speed.

Re: Digital or Analog Speedo

How responsive to change of speed is both the digital and analog versions?

Do either update in jumps, or is the change progressive?

Re: Digital or Analog Speedo

I have to choose either the speed or the fuel economy. I choose the speed because it is easier to read and matters more. I won't get a fine for excessive fuel consumption

Analog speedo with nothing in the middle.... Clean and simple.
