Disarming Front Park Assist Sensors ?

Is it possible to disarm the front sensors ( mainly because I want to fit a front Nudge Bar ) while still being able to use the rears if needed, could I possibly just pull the connectors or wiring off the sensors and still utilize the dash switch as normal?
Any help or advise appreciated.

Re: Disarming Front Park Assist Sensors ?

Could you reposition them so they could still work, without the nudge bar interfering ?

Re: Disarming Front Park Assist Sensors ?

Thanks bill_de and F1anatic,

Evidently according to a Senior Jeep Technician I can have the bar coated with a matt black paint on the inner side facing the sensors, ( or even use black tape as a trial) this he said will stop the sensors from picking up structure in its range, it will however also render the two centre sensors useless but allow the two outer ones to function normally.

I can see the theory so will give it a go and see if it works in practice.

Any luck with the black tape trick? I too have this problem, and no you can't just disconnect the wiring as this disables the whole system. If they had a dummy sensor that you could just replace the original with it would make it so simple.

Some feedback on the black tape trick. I tried it and it works without causing any other problems with the system.
