Re: Downsides to LockPick

This topic is very interesting..Please continue to update ...Thanks for all the info ..So far my understanding is that the factory rear view camera need to connect direct and not thru chr550 to maintain clear picture...

Re: Downsides to LockPick

Bump...can someone with the Lockpick installed please tell me if this affects the navigation due to its function "to trick" the unit that the vehicle is at 0mph? Thanks so much

We've just returned from a weekend getaway and I can verify that the arrival time on the 430 works as designed with the lock pick installed. It even recalcs correctly if you go off on a way point or detour.

Re: Downsides to LockPick

Awesome! Thanks for the update. Did you buy the Lockpick V.4 or the CHR550

Guys at Coastal have been very responsive and easy to deal with.
Please keep us updated about that fix. I have a factory camera as well but costal will not give me support as i'm living in europe.

Re: Downsides to LockPick

Will do - I haven't forgotten about this thread. March is about my busiest month of the year, so it may be a few weeks before I can get to looking at the fix again. As soon as I have any new info I'll update my post.

Re: Downsides to LockPick

eBay has the cheapest prices. They're only a few hundred, at most! Do it!

I left my keys in the ignition and my battery drained. It was able to re-coup enough energy start at a later point but the radio would not turn on. I popped the bezel off the dash, unhooked the lockpick and reconnected it again and the radio works perfectly again.

Re: Downsides to LockPick

Just do NOT buy from seller 12volt... something. He totally f'd me over and I had to raise a dispute with ebay and paypal. But yes, eBay is the cheapest place you'll find them.
