Droid 2, Droid X, and U-Connect

Anyone have any of these phones? I would like to know if anyone is having any problems using them with U-connect.

Re: Droid 2, Droid X, and U-Connect

I have a Backflip (yeah, not a Droid, but is a Moto model) running Android 2.1, and no problems.

As near as I can tell, none of the Android powered phones have issues with Uconnect.

That's thanks to Apple not implementing the Bluetooth standards in a standard manner. Instead, they come up with their own twist and expect everybody else to change to suit their own products.

Updates to fix what Apple broke are forthcoming.

Re: Droid 2, Droid X, and U-Connect

I am able to get my htc hero to pair successfully with the Uconnect system in my 09 Grand Cherokee but it randomly disconnects itself in the middle of phone calls. I went to the Jeep dealer and they told me it was the phone so I went to a few different Sprint stores and they all blamed the U connect system.

The strange thing is that I have a motorola bluetooth headset that works fine with my phone. I also tried connecting my friends blackberry to the Uconnect and it seemed to work ok although I didn't really test it for all that long.

When I connect my phone, at first it seems to be working fine then all of a sudden the call timer on the Uconnect display freezes and the audio goes silent (but does not return to the regular phone speakers). Sometimes it happens ten seconds into a call, sometimes it's ninety seconds in. Very furstrating, anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Re: Droid 2, Droid X, and U-Connect

Have Samsung Epic and it connects fine. I also get signal strenght and charge status on the 730 screen. Didn't get that with my other phone, so nice surprise!

HTC Incredible (Veizon)

Spotty at best. Many times the it engages (radio cuts out) but the sound doesn't come through the system. It's driving me nuts!
