Drop In Amplifier Help Needed

I hunt a lot and don't hear so good. Additionally, I have developed an outer ear problem that acts like a notch filter tuned to my wife's voice frequency. Anyhoo, I want my shit louder and I listen to Sirius or BT streaming from my Apple phone. I can tell Sirius is a bit muted. I have the '14 limited with a subwoofer; what is the simplest drop in amplifier solution? Can I do it with just an amp or do I need a pre-processor too? However, I want clean low to low low THD power. Budget 500-1500. I do not want to replace my head unit or speakers (unless I blow them up).

Re: Drop In Amplifier Help Needed

500-1500 isnt going to get you far enough.. if you have the factory sub, you have the factory amp. the factory amp crosses over allt eh freq, internally. It is CANBUS controlled from the factory screen, meaning you you cant replace it because you there isnt anything on the market that will communicate with the fact radio.
End result being you will need a DSP 500 ish, then a 5 channel amp. $550 ish. then replace all the speakers. $300-400ish for front and rear doors. and still need to figure out what you want to do with your center channel, rear tweeters, and sub.
Rough estimate if you simply want it "louder" is $2000+ if you want it done correctly.... you could just replace the speakers to get a littlr more range, but it wont necessarily increase your volume.

Re: Drop In Amplifier Help Needed

:sigh: nothing is easy anymore. I appreciate the detailed info. Ok time to snoop for speakers. It looks like several upgrades have been performed by other JG posters.
