Dual Mic Rearview mirror

Can I use a dual mic rearview mirror from a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan in my Uconnect setup? I added the Uconnect and a 430n RHB, had it flashed but the mic is showing as an open circuit. Is there a way to wire it so that it will work?

Re: Dual Mic Rearview mirror

The 2014 Caravans have the same electrical architecture as the 2011-13 Grand Cherokees. So I believe it would work. Not sure though.

Re: Dual Mic Rearview mirror

Have you done any of the tests which I suggested in your other thread?

Cheers,
Steve

Re: Dual Mic Rearview mirror

I have not tried shorting the wire for the Uconnect, I don't have a diagram for the wires going into or out of the Uconnect to know which wires to try.. For that matter I don't know if the wire harness I purchased is wired correctly. I had to cut 2 wires to get sound to the front left speaker... I'm a little overwhelmed... If I could see the path the wires take to and from each component then I could figure it out...😬😃 the wire harness I have is to add the aftermarket mic (single mic with dual sided tape), could that be my problem? If so how could I fix it?

Re: Dual Mic Rearview mirror

I have my dual mic mirror plugged into my rhb. Is it supposed to be plugged into the Uconnect module?

Re: Dual Mic Rearview mirror

Bud it's not that it's boring... I'm not sure that anyone has enough knowledge of both the 430n RHB and the Caravan mic. I haven't seen any diagrams for the dual mic... I have no knowledge of how those two mics might be wired... so my ability to help ends there. I think many who would otherwise help might be in the same kind of situation.

Can you not obtain the correct mic for the system?

Cheers,
Steve

Re: Dual Mic Rearview mirror

I can try to find he correct mic, but I guess I should try to find the wire diagram for both mirrors and see if they are the same or not. It's just frustrating, getting the Uconnect installed, upgrading the stereo, and not having it all work... But when I'm done I'm gonna compile a list and do a write up to show anyone else in my situation how to do it... Thanks for always repling Steve😃
