I had the same problem yesterday (played DVD successfully before). This happened when I tried playing PAL Video-CD. It wouldn't play Video CD at all, was stuck at "Reading disc...". After that I put in DVD and there was sound but no video.

I can't really explain how I fixed it - I just turned unit off and on a couple times, also turn the car off/on and DVD started playing again.

Re: DVD Play on 430N

I tried it with the ignition in run and it still does not work. I also tried turning the media center on and off still no go. I get sound but no video.

Re: DVD Play on 430N

Are there any people on this forum other than those living in the states listed below which can view DVD's on there 430N media centers? By that I mean if the vehicle is stopped and the shift lever is in park can you see the video playing on a dvd.

AR, DE, GA, HI, ID, IA, KY, MS, MO, MT, ND, & OH

If you live in one of the states listed above then your state has no restriction concerning video playback in vehicles, and you need not answer this post. Thanks!

I live in Indiana and can view DVD. But then I have a LockPick so I can view it while in motion also.

I am in NY and can watch DVD on 430N when parked. I don't have Lockpick.

I am interested in the JGC as it came from the factory to you. Thanks but I am not interested in lockpick owners replying.

I just went out and popped the Jeep DVD into the slot to test it out. I was amazed that here in the nanny state of Maryland, the DVD actually worked just fine!

Caveat: I purchased this vehicle from a dealer in PA, so we might infer that this functionality is available for Jeeps shipped to PA but not necessarily for those shipped directly to MD...

I'm in NM and DVD video would play in park before I installed Lockpick.
