Re: DVD Play on 430N

One of the Overland models that we test drove had the rear entertainment center and the 730N, and it played the video on the front screen when in park, and only on the rear screen in any other gear. This was at a dealer here in PA.

I haven't tried it on my Overland with the 430N and no rear screen. I'll try and let you know.

Re: DVD Play on 430N

Installed a Lockpick ch550 in my new 2011 JKU to a 430n RHB about 4 weeks ago assuming that it would make the video work, when I wanted it too! However when i finished the install I had no video at all, and never thought to check before I actually installed the Lockpick. *After a week of reading every thread I could find, except for this one, I contacted Coastaletech to find out what was wrong. *They walked me through a couple things to check my install by unplugging and reconnecting factory harness and had no answers as to why the View Video button was not showing up, only to say that the ch550 should work and they would get with their engineers. *I removed the lockpick and took the Jeep to the dealer to find out why I had no video at all, *service manager informed me that they are required by law and Chrysler to "disengage" all video operations as soon as the vehicles hit the lot. (Florida) *After two weeks of emails and requests for an update as to why the Lockpick was not bypassing the dealers settings, they sent an installer and engineer TO me on a Saturday. *After about three hours they were able to rework their firmware and get it to work. *If you guys are still having trouble, check with CoastalTech as they may have resolved the issue with the 430n for those that the dealers have "disengaged" the video and have updates available. *Still not sure why Coastaletech wasn't aware of the problem since they are in Florida, but at least it*works great now.

Sound quality with iPhone 4 and iPod touch is great, but with the iPad there is background static, but it is coming from the iPad not the Lockpick. *Video is really cool. *

Re: DVD Play on 430N

I know this is an older thread but I must ask.
The 'view video' option displays for me only when I put it in gear, then back to park.

Can anyone confirm that the 'view video' button works when you enter the car, pressing the ignition button once, car in park. without starting car, and no putting car in gear.

thanks
