EVIC Help

Hello,
Just purchased a 2011 5.8L Overland 4x4. I wanted to follow up with a previous thread. Is there any possible way to cusomize the EVIC? I cannot believe there is no way to have a trip odometer and 'miles until empty' along with the speed. This should just be a standard setting to view without having to toggle between modes. ANy ideas?

Re: EVIC Help

You can't display all of those things at one time. You will get used to switching back and forth after a short while by counting the number of button presses. You won't even have to look at what you're doing. The display is pretty small and there is much info to show. It just won't all fit on one screen.

Re: EVIC Help

I too also think the displays within the EVIC are poorly designed.

That's not true at all. I've had other cars with the same size display and much more info displayed.

Re: EVIC Help

They could squeeze more info onto the screen but how small would the font have to be. As it is, I have to strain to read it during the day when the dash lights are dim.

Re: EVIC Help

Why would you look at it during the day with the dash lights dimmed? That's like saying something is too small because you can't read it with one eye shut...

Re: EVIC Help

I don't dim the lights. The information is just harder to read when there is more ambient light. I can see it fine at night but I wouldn't want to sacrifice clarity for more info on the display. It's a matter of personal choice, and I'm happy with it as is.
