The media needs to focus more on how to prevent ID theft; credit card number theft; etc. - I've had three different credit cards compromised over the last two years (didn't cost me anything, thank goodness). Those are the hacks we need to worry about - not some professional pizza-eating basement dwellers looking for their 15 minutes of fame by arranging a hack of an FCA vehicle.
The odds of your vehicle being hacked are, at least for now, very very low.
However, the consequences could be much more severe than having a credit card compromised.
