The odds of your vehicle being hacked are, at least for now, very very low.

However, the consequences could be much more severe than having a credit card compromised.

Whomever is the engineer/programmer that allowed this vulnerability should be the person assigned to load and mail 1.4M USB drives. He/she should be done in twenty years or so.

Concurrent with the usb sticks, they apparently fixed it by doing what they should have done since day 1- having sprint block ports or whitelisting the FCA servers and blocking everything else or the like. Why they didn't have robust firewall rules like that right out of the gate is a mystery. No hacker but id guess blocking your network traffic stops most attacks?

Would the new update erase my jailbreak functionality. And then I assume I would need an updated jailbreak?

Magnus is reportedly working on the RAX update for this firmware.
