Fix 86: for audio upgrade with factory HU

so new build, I returned the infinity kappas (too bright) I ended up going with morel ultra tempo 6x9 components for the front. I also got the fix 86.. check of the presentation by JL at CES 2016:

It does time alignment,
Channel summing
and looks like you can tap the usb port to make some minor adjustments to the eq.

Re: Fix 86: for audio upgrade with factory HU

I'd like to get your take on the Fix 86. Which factory system do you have? I would like to improve my JL / Focal / Alpine system as the factory EQ stinks, but I'm not sure if the factory 6 speaker stereo has an time delay or any other stuff integrated.

Re: Fix 86: for audio upgrade with factory HU

Greetings,

Anybody that is about to embark on audio upgrade that has a 2014+ JGC, this is a must see video. It is long, however, I am sure that this will help spend your money wisely.

Best for now.

Re: Fix 86: for audio upgrade with factory HU

I got 3 JL amps and 3 JL 10's in my Harmon Kardon stereo. Really thinking of adding a couple component sets and disconnecting/ removing the factory speakers and the Fix 86 peaked my interest. I'd love to hear more, can I keep factory Bluetooth features? Do I need something like the JL Twk after the Fix?
