I felt the same way about the infinity's. I thought there was less bass in the beginning. I was skeptical of "break in" but yes, the infinity bass has increased over time. Also depends a lot on the song too.

He listed out the speakers i think in page 17 or 18? Just check that guy's post history, he lays it out.

As far as people being worried on if focals/infinity's sound better, just going to throw this out there.

I am by no means an audio expert, but if you're that genuinely concerned on which set up is better, then you should probably be dropping some serious cash on complete overhaul of a sound system.

300-500 is only going to take you so far with just drop in speakers. I bet you throw anyone of us in a 2 jeeps, one with focals, and one with infinity's, and don't tell them which is which, you won't be able to guess.

Just my 2 cents. You get what you pay for, and for 300 bucks, what I got is outstanding imo.

I find stock six speaker has a little too much bass. I turn it down three bars. The kids however like to see the mirrors rattle!

the bass is much clearer. Less distortion as for the highs too. The stock speakers I was only able to turn the volume up to about 22 or so and it would get distorted. Now volume I can turn up to about 30. Music is still crisp with no distortion at all. I love bass. Had subs in all my cars I ever owned. These speakers shake the side mirrors. Huge improvement over the stock speakers.

For you guys that did the Focal ISS 690 upgrade, what is the ohm rating on just the focal tweeter?

When mid bass and tweeter are used with the supplied crossover the ohm load is 4 ohms, but wondering if the mid bass alone is 2ohms and the tweeter another 2ohms and when used together with the crossover they draw a 4ohm load?

Just trying to figure out if the Focals would be as efficient on the oem amp as a 2 ohm Infinity Kappa speaker (given they have similar sensitivity ratings)

I measured the impedance of the Focal speakers, before I installed them, but not with the inline x-overs in place. I believe I posted this information either earlier in this discussion, or in one of the other Focal speaker discussions.

If I remember correctly, the mids are 4 ohms, and the tweets are 5.

Very happy with the quality! These Alpines sound way better than the Focals.
How is the sub output on with that JL audio 10" sub on a Jl audio ported enclosure? I just ordered a JL audio 10w3v3 on a ported enclosure and exited to install it
