Meh. I like being able to use a radio dial to choose what I want to hear instead of having to mess with a locked phone whenever I get a hankering for a different kind of music. I find Pandora, etc. to be too repetitious for me sometimes, and I don't want to pay for premium service on Pandora/Slacker/et al.

Pandora I don't like or use slackers free is fine with me along with live365 also free because a couple of commercials in between isn't gonna kill me and the sound is better then satellite.

Do they still offer the lifetime service? i remember before on our last car, you could get a lifetime subscription with limited transfers for $200-300. Since we're going to have this vehicle for awhile, I wouldn't mind paying a lump sum and not having to worry about renewal techniques every year to save a buck.

Great question specs let us know if you get any info on that because hopefully during that lifetime they will improve the highly compressed satellite sound.

I don't think lifetime subscription is offered anymore.

Just did 5 months for $24.99, best deal available. Just such a hassle to call and deal with them.. I was on hold for 50 min.

Yes, this! Google all access or paid Spotify offer excellent sound quality, whatever you want to listen to, and you can have it anywhere not just your car.

Re: Free Sirius almost over, are you going to renew?

$50 to $60 per year is the max I'd pay to extend my Sirius service.

Why? Because I only listen to a handful of music/news stations while driving in my Jeep...on average no more than 50 minutes at a time, 25 days a month.

I agree, its a $5 a month service at most. For that price they can take my money, penny more they can lose my money...

Re: Free Sirius almost over, are you going to renew?

My problem is the very spotty reception in some areas, and the sound quality isn't that great. It's overpriced for the quality of service. A better deal might keep me, but the circle jerk at renewal time isn't worth the hassle.

My apps on my iPhone give better sound when im streaming with the 2.5 cable. The only thing that's halfway decent is the variety of programming satellite gives you but that's about it.

I live smack dab in the middle of one of their major markets. Traffic service is lacking, never updated, and inaccurate. There is hardly any information on the website about this feature more or less planned improvements. I don't plan on renewing.

The free WAZE app on my phone does a MUCH better job.

I also find the travel link feature useless. Again, I have a phone that does a much better job via free apps.

I may re-think this decision if SiriusXM ever comes to the plate with worthwhile enhancements.
