New amp now was installed today and all is good (no distortion from left rear spk or any of the spks). The HK system finally meets my expectation.

I may have the same issue with my HK system, the driver side passenger speaker sounds blown especially with low bass high volume. Sometimes with certain songs it sounds ok, but others are terrible; same for you? I dread going through your process, but assume this is the only way. Any advise?

Re: From the horses mouth on the Harman Kardon System

Telll the dealer to swap the leads at the head unit and then at the amp. This will then move the distortion to the opposit side speaker if the amp is the problem.. This dispositions the issue away from the head unit or a actual spk fault. My dealer used the schematic to figure this out. They initially said they could not do this type of test. FCA approved this process in the end and then, finally, a new amp was installed and my problem fix, over a month later.

I absolutely love the sound of my HK 19 speaker system, but I am always looking to tweak.

Thanks!!

Has anybody replaced the speakers in their Summit? If so, how did it go and where did you get the speaker specs?
