V8 here and same thing doesn't stay checked .
So see my another day another summit issue thread..

Yesterday I got in the car. Nav froze up couldnt use it.. Started driving then it came alive after ten mins... I was trying to figure out why the nag was unavailable... Was wondering if it was doing an update? Saw this with yelp push a week ago...

I then checked the settings menu..mmi was now able to check any option and for it to stick... Tested many options and all worked... Nav worked and I, at least for that moment was a happy jeep owner..

So on the above stated thread I asked the forum if functionality fixes are also able to be pushed by u connect or maybe these fixes aren't even u connect related but general fixes... We have seen application pushing.. Why not general fixes...?

I then checked the version of u connect.. It didn't change.

I will report later and see if I can still use settings...

You guys should check today and see if anything changed for you.. Try the Nav as soon as soon as u startup also. Maybe a pattern here, don't know...

Love the technology and love the fact the car may be self healing in some regards... Maybe

Windows 95 Beta was more stable than uConnect.

What does it look like when it's working? I have a V8 and I keep checking it but it unchecks itself. I have the turn-by-turn in the isntrument cluster working (it displays directions for your nav guidance in the instrument cluster when you're supposed to do things like make turns). Can you explain what the fuel-saver in instrument cluster is supposed to look like? I was told that it should be a form of notification for when cylinders are deactivated.

Re: Fuel Saver Display In Cluster

It is just a pop up message that says fuel saver mode activated. It doesn't last long, or maybe it takes me too long to notice it. It's like the message that says cruise control ready.

The funny thing is, if I unchecked it, it is checked the next time I start the car.

I do mostly local driving and have only noticed it a couple of times on the road.

Re: Fuel Saver Display In Cluster

Just installed 13.19.0. This option still does not stay checked for me.

Same here. 13.19.0 and no change in the Fuel Save option. Still will not stay checked.

Re: Fuel Saver Display In Cluster

I wish this worked too. I am not getting as good milage on my '14 V-8 as i was on my '12 V-8.

I have no idea if the cylinder deactivation is working or not like I did on my 12. Anybody have anything new yet?

I just noticed I actually get that message "fuel saver activated" or smth similar when I start the car . It's on the bottom of the dash screen and it is replacing the miles for like 3 sec then disappears . Option is always unchecked because it doesn't stay checked .

Have all of you checked to see if the setting even exists any more in the display? The new Summit I am driving does not have this with 13.19.0 UConnect.

It is highly unusual that 2 different V8s would see different settings?

Re: Fuel Saver Display In Cluster

I don't believe this was ever supported?... from what I see it appears to be a bug in the software. Check your current settings as I believe this option is gone.

Picture of current settings screen.

Re: Fuel Saver Display In Cluster

I'll look again, but after I upgraded, I could have swore I still saw it and tried to enable it.

Edit: Yep, just checked and my screen looks like yours now. Option is now gone which is kind of a bummer since I would like to know when I'm saving fuel, but I guess the instant MPG makes up for that.

I still have it and mine is still checked. On my last trip to the beach I tried to keep an eye out for the message to pop up, but never saw it.
