Garmin "Favorites" 430N

Trying to get my 100+ favorites from my portable Garmin into the 430N. First tried copying the GPX file onto a USB stick and loading it: "PND update failed" Then tried the POI loader per Custom POI Loads for 430N and Garmin. I tried it once using the GPX file as a source, and a second time using the POI file as a source. In both cases, the file "successfully loaded, but there's nothing in the favorites list!

I'm only worried about transferring favorites, not POIs . . . anyone had luck with this?

Hey - what kind of favorites do you have? I love messing with stuff like this.

Try looking into your 'extras' folder.

Found 'em! Thanks Radside.

Now, any idea how I can get them into my "favorites?" Two presses is much preferable to six or seven!

Bozer, the favorites are merely the addresses I travel to most frequently, both locally and when on vacation.

Call'em up but don't push 'go'. I don't know of a way to save them all at one time. Individually I believe there should be an option to save after you select them.

Has anyone figured out why when you press "Save" instead of pressing "Go" that the newly saved favorite doesn't retain its address/phone number?
