Question Help - Notification Overload!

Hi Everyone -

I need some help. Overall I like the UConnect system, but it's been driving me nuts lately. Two issues 2015 GC with 8.4N:

1) Sports notifications - how can I turn them off? It dings every time there is an out during a baseball game. I originally set up my favorite team, but then removed my team from the favorites list in TravelLink section, but still no luck.

2) Traffic warnings - She announces the same traffic incident multiple times during a trip. In a 2 hour trip, she mentioned traffic incidents about a dozen times. Super annoying. I want the GPS to route around traffic, I just don't want the audible announcements. Is there a way to just turn off the notifications? I have my traffic routing set to Automatic and TMC incidents are not checked in the maps option.

Any suggestions?

LOL... I'm sure glad I don't subscribe to or use any of that stuff.

You should have the ability to turn stuff on/off... you may have to drill down in the settings to find it.

Well, I got 5 years of free Sirius Travel Link with my GC. Overall it's nice...weather, fuel prices, etc. And the traffic is useful, but I just wish it would STFU!

I had the 100% exact thing happen to me....ding game start, ding out, ding out, ding hit, ding, ding....somehow it remembered "ghost" settings and made up some from teams I never favd.... you're gonna like this, dealer said it was the radio head and had to be replaced. I was like, huh? it's obviously software not hardware...they said nope the tech support center said new radio would fix it. Beat me with a stupid stick, it did. They first tried a factory reset but it didn't touch it... Wanna talk confused? And there was no new uConnect update that coinsided with head replacement.... weird....

WHAT?!?! That's crazy! Did you do the replacement? If so, did it work?

It has to be software related. I was considering resetting the system to factory default and seeing if that worked. It's just a pain because I'll have to re-set everything up.

If you go under the NAV menu options there is a check box to turn off audible and shut here voice off. It drove me crazy also, only thing is its an all or non. So it also shuts off the speed warning you can set so she yells at you if you go 20mph over or what ever you set it to. Just have to remember to shut here down before using the nav again.

That doesnt stop the pop up notification taking over your screen.

I couldn't find where that would b covered under warranty!

Silvermax04, on the speed alert thing....I like that audible problem is mine hase to be set 2 mph above your desired alert over speed amount AND (this is rich) it will not accept 7, period. Old radio, new radio, initial uConnect version, newest uConnect version...if u pick 7 it will b 6 when u go back in and it alerts at 4 over ????

Oh well, replacement rig is at dealer awaiting the torturous month of paperwork
