HK Subwoofer Question

I'm getting ready to have a Stealthbox installed but I had a question for those of you with the HK radio's who have added a sub. When you crank up the sound does the sub volume level continue to increaase?

I know, sounds like a stupid question, but last stock radio car I tapped into and threw just an amp and sub into was a 2006 VW. In that car, the sub was fine until you got to about 60% max volume and then the sub stopped increasing volume, just the rest of the speakers. The signal for the amp was tapped at the rear speakers, so obviously the stock amp stopped increasing the volume of the rear speakers around that level.

So, is the HK sub like that or is it relatively linear?

Re: HK Subwoofer Question

I'll answer my own question here in case someone needs it.
Yes, the sub level continues to increase. I added an Audio Audiocontrol LC2i with 3 JL HD750/1's and 3 10W6v3's. The linear volume level is no problem whatsoever.

Re: HK Subwoofer Question

The bass sounds lovely, but you quickly realize the midst and highs are not up to par. That's making its way to the to do list. My bass knob is on the bottom of the panel under the steering wheel by your right leg. I may be moving it somewhere easier to access.
