So I received my stock back up camera kit today and began installing it. I'm having problem with the wiring harness. Basically, the kit comes with a long, black wiring harness. On one end is a connector, but the other end just has four loose wires that have to be connected to the connector that is provided. I'm assuming this is so you can run the wire where it needs to be ran without a big connector getting in the way.
In any event, here are my problems:
1.) How do I connect the loose wires to the wiring harness connector? There is a schematic provided, but I can't figure out how to connect the wires to the connector based upon the schematic. There appear to be six pins in the connector, but only four wires coming from the harness.
2.) Where does the connector that you assemble connect to? Do I disconnect the camera from the connector that comes attached to the light bar, and plug it directly into the wiring harness that comes with the kit?
Please help. I have an appointment to have this activated by the dealer on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and I'd really like to get this done. Thanks,
Kevin
