I'm guessing they aren't the refference series or did they make them as a coax? I don't remember

Looks like the op has components where the woofer and tweeter are separated but use a crossover to tie them together. Little different then the coax speakers with the tweet on the woofer like what me and impressive has

So I went ahead and purchased the JL stealthbox and an Alpine 5 channel amp, that should make things right...

There ya go! That sub should really bring the bass back in, and that amp should drive thoses speakers well

an amp will definitely take care of the bass in the speakers. But when i upgraded my alpine to polk it made a difference right away and then i added a 4 channel down the road. I am about to get a headunit because the stock 430n sucks. But this is my setup:

Polk DB6501 6.5 component fronts
Polk Db651 6.5 coax rears
PPI 900.4 speaker amp
Ampere audio 5000.1 sub amp
2 12" DSS Ethos
3 XS power d3100
Singer 270a Alt.

I love it!
