Re: Installation of OEM Camera in 2014 Laredo

I got my camera installed over the weekend, just need to run the new wires.

Does anyone know where we can buy the pins for the radio harness, I am having a hard time finding them. Is there a Mopar part number?

Installation of OEM Camera in 2014 Laredo

Hey guys, I am a parts manager at a Jeep Dodge dealer in Canada. No part number is available from mopar. Ramharness.com will sell you 3 pins for $4.00. Just search "pins" with his search bar.

Re: Installation of OEM Camera in 2014 Laredo

I have not pulled the trigger to do this myself on my 14' Altitude. However, I did see this information regarding the 15' Altitude options. Does that mean I should wait and then a part # in my color applique will be available?

Pulled From: WK2jeeps

Grand Cherokee Altitude options:

A. 9 AMPLIFIED SPEAKERS W/SUBWOOFER (RC3) (requires Parkview camera) ($495 / INV. $ 441)

B. ENGINE BLOCK HEATER ($95 / INV. $ 85)

C. PARKVIEW™ REAR BACK-UP CAMERA (XAC) (requires RC3) ($395 / INV. $ 352)

D. POWER SUNROOF ($995 / INV. $ 886) (required option)

E. SINGLE DISC REMOTE CD PLAYER ($445 / INV. $ 396)

F. TRAILER TOW GROUP IV ($795 / INV. $ 708)

LOL. I was thinking of you when I saw the information updated on WK2Jeeps. However, have you revisited the installation and got it working? I almost pulled the trigger on a donor trim piece that I was going to pull apart just like you show in previous posts. Now.......

When the part does come out it'll probably be ~700 like the current non-Altitude brows so it may be more cost effective.

I was waiting to see if the wiring diagrams were released because I want the functionality of the backup lines. Not sure if I need 3 or 4 wires?

Re: Installation of OEM Camera in 2014 Laredo

I've been following this thread for a while (just picked up an Altitude a couple day ago) and now I'm really looking to figure this out as well. Talked to Lassen @ Ramharness about a harness for our '14 models and he basically said he needs someone with a '14 Laredo in the Norfolk, VA area to be his guinea pig, since there is limited info on wiring schematics it seems... Hopefully someone in the area steps forward so he can get it figured out.

Jeep Downunder has fitted as standard equipment to the MY14 Laredo a rear vision camera. The company that supplies Jeep OZ is a global company so probably in the USA called; Lumen | Design and manufacture of automotive products.
The same company supplied wiring loom/harness and camera for the MY11/12 Laredo's.

But Jeep oZ, cutting cost now fit a Cheap Jeep Chinese camera instead of the Lumen camera and its crap. (Nothing to do with the wiring loom./harness)

All Aussie Laredo's have the Unconnect 8.4 screen.

The MY11/12 image is great, the MY14 image is total crap.

Photo has part numbers on it.

Agreed, can't find anything pertaining to part number, to the company Lumen (besides their homepage which doesn't have products) or the bracket number.
