Installing USB Port

Hello friends,

I have a 2011 JGC. I have the non S130 radio unit (not nav, no touch screen). It is uconnect capable but I do not have the module installed.

I want to find out about installing a USB port to play music through the S130 system. I do not currently have any USB ports in the center console nor in the glove box.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: Installing USB Port

would likely depend on what's on the back of the head unit and the back of one with USB, could be that all you need to do is attach a USB cable, or if done in true car manufacturer style, there will be a proprietary plug, but still you might be able to find a part # and run the cable yourself.

edit,

looking on ebay at similar units, looks to be no USB.
