Re: IOS 5 and 730 RHR

Perhaps I'm wrong, but I thought the RHR supported SMS to voice messaging; however, Apple has yet to implement a Bluetooth Message Access Protocol or MAP on the iPhone.

This, from another thread: Thanks for the reply. I just found out through Uconnect tech support yesterday, after putting up this post, that even though the 730n RHR supposedly supports hand-free texting, there are barely, if any, phones currently on the market that support SMS via Uconnect.

Re: IOS 5 and 730 RHR

Got around to installing beta 3. Beta 2 took a step back in uconnect performance, but it now seems back on track. For the life of me, I cant understand why it relies on gracenote for artwork when I have my own right in the tag. Im sure im not the only one here whos spent countless hours getting the exact artwork (thank you wikipedia and amazon!) to flip that memory switch of looking at my brand new cd or record (or 8track) when I first heard that song only to have gracenote rip it apart with their horrible and a lot of the times wrong artwork... luckily theres an option to just display track, artist, genre which is taken from the tag.

text still not working either.

Re: IOS 5 and 730 RHR

If you are running another Developers iOS 5, Apple might shut you down soon.

If I'm reading the article right. I kinda read through it fast. So be sure to sync and back up as often as possible.

Re: IOS 5 and 730 RHR

Well, if you run into a problem with running iOS 5 betas because your device is not registered as a developer device let me know. I have a developer account so I can register devices. So far, iCloud is great ... Apple will sell many many many millions more iOS devices when iOS 5 is launched since it untethers such devices from PC's and also manages data (and some processing) in the cloud. It's coming integration with Mac OS 10.7 Lion will further the unique services of iCloud. Just think of all the people who would prefer to not have to have a PC and all the "management" of such PCs. iOS 5 and iCloud will prove to be nothing less than revolutionary...I just hope they have the capacity to deal with all the users.....it is gonna be HUGE!!!
