Re: iOS 9 and UConnect

When my phone is paired, I don't hear any notifications like email or whatever else might notify me. Is it possible to still hear those sounds when connected?

In settings, under Bluetooth, then Uconnect turn on the show notifications button. I haven't tried it as I no longer want messages on the screen for reason mentioned before

Enabling that shows my texts through Uconnect, but it doesn't do anything for emails or other notifications. Notificaitons are not audible through the phone at all - it's silent when paired

Re: iOS 9 and UConnect

Thank god i don't get alerted when my iPhone is connected. I would be bombarded with alerts.

Actually, i've noticed if im connected on BT and playing music and get an email music will dim sound and resume after a second or so. Quite annoying if you ask me.

Re: iOS 9 and UConnect

I'm with you^^^. I'm glad I don't get the alerts for emails too. I've observed the same thing--phone chimes when emails or texts come in and are played through the speakers, but the phone itself has to be the primary source of music streaming. That is, when I have an iPod connected to the USB, I don't get alerts when I get emails even when the hands free connection is there via bluetooth to the phone. I still have yet to get a text message notification, which doesn't bother me either.

Re: iOS 9 and UConnect

I'd say if you haven't gotten a txt notification on the Uconnect try checking your setting of the iPhone under BT and tap on the i with the cirlce to enable it. If that doesn't work u might need to unpaid ur iPhone (completely forget from both)and then pair it again.

Re: iOS 9 and UConnect

Ok question?
Saw in a KL forum that when you have the uconnect app on your iPhone (but not running) as soon as your bluetooth turns on, the dang ucconnect app starts running in the background.
Now I personally have no use for the app so I never loaded it. Today I sat in the jeep after I shut it down....still using my phone for web use, after the car times out(radio shuts off) I get a message on my phone saying something about uconnect? Are these azz hats monitoring us that much where they tap our phones via bluetooth? Sorry, thats just wrong...anybody else ever see this?
Im sure theres some BS disclaimer that allows them to do it, but its still wrong
Heres a pic of what the KL folks get while having the app installed/ not running...its at the bottom of the iPhone screen

If you don't want the music to dim and play the chime, switch your phone to silent/vibrate (whatever you have it set to). Works for me. You just don't have any audible alerts. If I place my phone in the cup holder or something similar, I can usually hear it vibrate.

Very true, I have noticed that when I accidentally leave my phone on silent after I leave work.
