I inquired about the 430n and the iPhone 4 streaming and bluetooth issues. Just got this response back:
It is great to read that you are planning on placing a new factory order
for a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland!
The update for the Uconnect Phone and the iPhone 4 has been available at Chrysler Group LLC dealership since mid-November 2010. This update will correct the connectivity issues with the iPhone 4 and it will help
eliminate the intermittent audio that was experienced with the Bluetooth
Audio Streaming and the iPhone 4. As this update must be performed by
the Service department at your preferred Jeep dealership, a certified
Service Technician will be able to provide you with more detailed
information regarding this update.
Did I miss this? Are all those owners with the 430n now happy with the iPhone 4 functionality?
Hey DS, unfortunately it's gotten to the point (at least for me) that I feel the need to validate everything with at least a couple of independent data points. This is true even (especially?) with info coming directly from Chrysler.
This report on the fix for the 430n's BT issues flies in the face of other intel we have. Personally, I have found adequate workarounds for this situation but am interested in hearing more about this report. Thanks for passing it along and please share anything you learn from your local dealer; I will do the same.
