Anybody else having issues where your iPhone would be connected and you see it playing but no sound comes out till you disconnect and reconnect to get it to play. It does is it whether cable or Bluetooth. I use iPhone 5 connected to cable and iPhone 6+ bluetooth. Ip6 is on 8.1.11 ip5 is 8.1. I use my ip5 as a iPod with no service.

I have an ip 6+ and have nothing but troubles. Takes a while to connect and sometimes it does not even connect at all. I have even had it start playing espn radio and that app was not even launched on my phone, then it just stopped on its own. Ghost in the Machine. I also have intermitted BT problems with skipping like a record, cutting in and out. Never connected via usb as of yet. Text Messages used to come in, but then nothing happens now. I will have them check it out on Monday.

I haven't had problems like that. The problems just started after it had gotten cold enough to cause the one I left in the car to get to cold to turn on. I am going to do a restore once I get back from vacation to see if that helps.

I've had nothing but issues with my iphone also. BT has worked fine, except when the USB hoses it up. I can browse my phone's music when connected to USB, but it's never played music. If I unplug the phone from the usb cable, BT won't work until I turn off the jeep and start it back up. I called Uconnect support today and was told that the ipod song format is incompatible with Uconnect and it cannot be used. When I pointed out it plays fine via BT, I was told I was lucky...

Any suggestions/solutions would be appreciated. It's the only downside of my Overland so far.

Stats:
iPhone 6 with IOS 8.1
2015 GC Overland, 8.4an, 14.47.1 software version.

I call bullshit on it being incompatible since this is the first time this has happened with using a 5th gen iPod ip5 and ip6+. I have to look to see what uconnect version I am on but sounds about the same as what I have. I can switch to Bluetooth and it won't play till I turn off jeep as well. Yesterday I skipped tracks from #2 to #15 and did same thing. When I get back from vacation I will try my iPod again. I wonder if it has to do with new style cable and not the old 30 pin style.

This is my first post. Hi to you all.

I am using 8.1.2 and uconnect 14.47.1 with 8.4A and programmed navigation from the dealer.

If I plug in through USB I can use voice commands to play certain artists, songs etc.....

If I use BT I cannot do this but the songs steam just fine.

Now if only I could respond to texts using uconnect without using Siri if be a happy camper.....

I have an iPhone 6 with 8.1.2 and have no issue with phone connection or text messages and voice dialing.
I do however run in my music in folders on a USB stick instead of using the phone as it also helps not drain the battery of the phone.

I have seen some IPhone issues cleared up after rebooting the phone. This isn't the same as turning it off & back on again.
Hold down the home and power buttons till the Apple is displayed then release them. The phone will now reboot. This closes all unused APPs that are working in the background and slowing down the processor.
I have to do this to my IPhone a couple times a month for issues other than just BT related.

I'm using an apple cable.

Have you done a hard reset of your phone lately? Press down the round button and power button at the same time until it resets?

That's the only thing I can think of. I've heard this has worked for people and when you repair your Bluetooth do not forget to enable the notifications in the BT setting.

Glad all is well. No need to bet on one of your children let alone your beautiful SUV!!

Now if you know a way I could respond to texts with the preset texts programmed in uconnect I'd be a happy camper.....

I understand Apple products aren't fully compatible to use uconnect to respond to texts. Any workarounds or do I need to hassle Apple every day to fix this?

Having the same issue.
Works fine first time I plug in the Lightning USB cable, but stops playing music once I disconnect the lead.
Have to turn my iPhone 5 off and back on again to get it work.
Also have the issue with songs skipping.
Only seems to be a recent issue since I did the last IOS update.

Also did the reset and works but started acting up a little. Just did a 7.5hr drive and towards the end of drive during shuffle of all songs it started playing next song about 6-10 seconds before current song was done. Kinda gave it a dj sound mixing the two songs together. Then I went to store and had to push pause then unpause to get song to play. I can live with it.
