iPhone/iTunes questions

I have a 2013 Grand Cherokee Overland with the 430N radio and I have some questions about playing the iTunes music that's loaded on my iPhone 4s on the stereo.

Streaming music via Bluetooth
When my iPhone 4s is paired to the car's stereo, I chose "AUX", "Devices", "Ryan's iPhone Bluetooth" and my iTunes music streams with no problems. However, when I hit the "i" button on the radio screen, "Playlists", "Artists", etc. are not available. Is not being able to access artists, playlist, etc. normal when streaming music over Bluetooth?

Playing music through the USB port
If my phone is "connected/paired" via Bluetooth to "UConnect" and I plug my iPhone 4s into the USB port in the center console, I can choose to play my iTunes through the USB connection by choosing "AUX", "Devices", "Ryan's iPhone" (with the UBS logo under it), but there is no sound unless I go into the "settings" on my phone and turn off my Bluetooth. Basically, the screen shows the song being played and counter is running, but there is no sound. Is this normal?

Any help would be great.

Thanks
Ryan

Re: iPhone/iTunes questions

you are lucky!

I could not get EITHER to work with my iphone on my 2011 GC 430n. Playing through BT would play at a double speed with skipping.. USB could never "read" the phone. I wound up loading all the songs i wanted on the HD

Re: iPhone/iTunes questions

Really, take a DVD (or usb stick) and load all your music on it. put in the the radio, then transfer music. Takes a little while but so much easier
