iPod Touch connection problems?

Anyone else has issues with the system connecting to your ipod from the center console? It seems intermittent and I need to unplug/re-plug for it to make the connection for music to start playing...kind of glitchy.

Now it doesn't charge either, weird?

You have a flaky connection. With luck, it's the USB cable; try a different one. If that's not it, it's the connector on the iPod or the USB port in the Jeep or the cable from the head unit to the USB port.

Re: iPod Touch connection problems?

There have been several reports of the USB cable that plugs into the back of the radio coming loose. These are the kinds of symptoms you will get until it fails to connect at all. I have an iPOD touch and perhaps 1 out of 20 startup I have to unplug it and plug it back in to play music, otherwise not an issue.

Re: iPod Touch connection problems?

I have the issue where the system will not recognize the iPod. Tried different USB cables and iTouch/iPods. The problem is consistent. Most of the times unplug and re-plug will resolve the issue. However now a new problem has occurred where the radio will lock-up. I can switch between sources but no volume (including Uconnect). The issue is resolved after a 10 minute (or greater) power-off.

Re: iPod Touch connection problems?

What radio do you have? Also this is a 2011 vehicle correct?
