Is 430N true 5.1 system? That is does it truly support DD 5.1 on DVDs or just downmixes it to stereo? What about DTS on DVDs? And DTS Audio CD-s?
The reason I ask is I just sat in my friend's MB E350 and his system had demo CD in and I immediately realized it was true 5.1. When I checked disc itself it was indeed DTS Audio. I have a couple DTS Audio CD but if you put it in the system that can't decode them it will be played back as "noise" that can damage speakers (not sure about damage, positive about the "noise") .
On a side note 430N now looks like crap
because it is noticeably lower resolution than Harman-Kardon in MB. HK is much easier to read b/c of this, I was actually surprised how big of a deal this is, especially for NAV. And MB apparently knows there are other colors than shades of blue that can be used to display data on LCD screen. Sound in HK is also much better, and radio has this retro style tuning screen with a ruler-like scale and red slider moving across - way cool! However, HK is not touch-screen and I found MB joystick less convenient (maybe it's a matter of preference).
