I tried them when stopped. Movies and Sports are blocked out when car is in motion.

Where I'm located, Live Traffic never works since we very rarely get heavy traffic on the freeway.

But are the car icons on your screen green or orange?

They are green. But I swear before it lost the Travel Link, the icons were green as soon as I turned on the radio. Now it takes about 10-20 seconds for the icons to turn green.

I spoke with Sirius customer service today and they said they are having a problem with many radios installed in Chrysler, Ford and another make she couldn't remember, where the Movies and Sports are not always working properly. They are working on the cure.

Re: Issues with Sirius trial?

2 weeks after the dealership and Sirius promised my trial would be corrected and still nothing. The reps I have talked to at Sirius have been less than helpful. Sure makes me want to actually give them money once this trial expires.

There isn't anything Chrysler or your dealer can do since its a problem with Sirius. My ordeal took about 3 weeks to get Travel Link to work. Once I got the call from Sirius corporate customer relations, then things got straightened out as I sat in the Jeep and watched the update. Even now, it still sometimes takes a few minutes or more for the movie listings to show which movies are currently playing. It usually starts out with the movie listings just saying "Unknown" for the different theater locations. But, maybe that's normal.

So hopefully, you will get a call from Sirius within a week.

Re: Issues with Sirius trial?

Well, the dealer was finally able to get Sirius to change my trial from 3 months to 1 year Sirius Select. For everyone else on here, does your online account show that TravelLink is also active? Mine does not mention TravelLink and Sirius is telling my dealership that this is not available in my area, even though it worked for 1-2 weeks after I drove it off the lot!

I may call the Sirius dealer line later today to see what they have to say. Does anyone have any other helpful numbers to try?

That is NOT correct. They did the same thing on mine at first then they had to fix it again to add the TravelLink. My subscription plan on Sirius reads "Sirius Select with Sirius Traffic™ + Sirius Travel Link™ (1 Year Plan) ' - and this is with the 430N so I actually do not have traffic.

And that statement about it not being available in your area is really suspect. The signals come from only a few satellites (3, I think) so how and why would they differentiate for your area? I could understand TRAFFIC not working (it doesn't work in my area either) but I think that is actually "TrafficLink" and only on the 730N. Even then on the 730N I would assume all the other data features work.

Unfortunately I don't have another number. My salesman said that he learned to ask the CS rep for their supervisor, then tell the supervisor you need to talk to tech support. I don't know if he was using the same 800 number or not.

This could happen if Sirius didn't collect information (e.g. gas station prices) from the businesses in that area.

Well, first I believe the data is collected from credit card transactions. At least that is how some of the gas price websites do it. Sirius doesn't collect the data they just parse it. Second, that theory would not be true of the weather data, movie showtimes, or sports scores and news. A lack of data in one area would not prevent them from selling the service. I think the dealers' response that it isn't available in his area is just showing their laziness.

Re: Issues with Sirius trial?

Well, I finally logged into my account again on Monday and they had my 1 year trial reset back to a 3 month trial. I checked again this morning and it is not showing a 1 year Premier account w/ Travel Link good through 1/2013. Still no traffic, but I am almost done with dealing with this. Apparently Traffic is not supported in my area, but it would be nice when driving to Atlanta or Nashville...anyways not a deal breaker. Just happy to have the weather radar feature, which is what I really wanted.
