Re: JGC Software version 14.05.3

Update screwed a lot of things up: Volume is now unheard until at least 12. Hands-free mode repeatedly loads and does nothing. Nav believes I'm in San Antonio...I'm in Los Angeles; the map never moves while I'm driving.

There might be more but I had to get out of the Jeep (my 7th) before I broke something. 50K+ for a Grand Cherokee Overland and this is the crap we get?

I've tried two system resets from the Eng Menu with no luck.

PISSED.

Sounds like you should bring it back to the dealer. I didn't have that experience with the update.

1st - reload the software (sometimes it doesnt work right)

Then if it doesnt work... take it to the dealer. be sure to tell them you already loaded it twice.

Re: JGC Software version 14.05.3

One thing I'm wondering about...

If you don't do software updates in order, in other words jumping over one you don't currently have to the next, would that cause any of these issues?

While I haven't had any issues, UConnect states that my Overland is eligible for two... 13.48.3 (12-13-13) and 14.05.03 (2-25-14). I'm not sure if my dealer has performed either of those and if they haven't I'd want them to do both in the order they were released.

Yah, that was seriously messed up. I had to boot up my long unused Windows XP virtual machine to even have a client old enough to work. And for what? Just to download a file? Shesh.

I'm in the same boat! I have both showing, can I just go straight to the 14.05.03??

Re: JGC Software version 14.05.3

I did the update last week. I went to use the NAV today and there are no longer any POIs. I mean none, not local or other locations or anywhere. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, you can go from any version to the latest. The 14.05.03 TSB says, "This bulletin supersedes xyz which should be removed from your files." That's also why they list the updates pertinent to the current version using ** and still list those that you would have received in the previous version.

Have you tried using the memory 1 or 2 switch? Probably won't work but I know it helped me get back my "LOST" radio stations after the 13.48 update.

All POI's are they for me after update. My question is, why the hell is this so variable on everyone's update experience. I mean, some c no change, some c good change, many see worsening of issues. So this update supposedly only gave "Nav display enhancement" and yet it is monking with everything else. WTF! Anyone have any Nav display enhancements? What are they?

Looks like they boogered this one.

Are your UConnect & Sirrus accounts still active?
