I tried to play with glass a few times and it was ok but I never got good at it. Love the pictorial on this build.
You asked for opinions and I have two thoughts about how your current set up looks like it may end up.
- with the rings higher than the back panel of the enclosure its going to add a nice look to the top of the enclosure. It'll look awesome once smoothed and painted or covered.
- that same design will look a bit odd from a side view at the point where the material wraps from the sub rings up and back... unless you have a plan for that.
now that I write thee are more thoughts...
- Will the rings being higher than the back effect how the cargo cover rolls over them?
- Can you build a separation panel between the two subs? As long as I can remember there has been debate on this subject and I have always been of the mindset that separate enclosures are better than one giant enclosure for a couple reasons...
1 - It'll help stiffen up the long back and bottom panel as well as any flex the glassed parts will have. A Stiff box is always a good thing when talking about sub boxes
2 - One sub wont interfere with the movement of the other. Yes, they are supposed to move together but when sharing air space if one moves faster than teh other there begins an overlap in the push/pull at the end/beginning of the movement cycle. I always thought this was an issue in some enclosures I built years ago when I was much younger.
Looking forward to more pics soon!
