Definitely interested in hearing the outcome of this, sorry for the partial hi-jack.
Not sure a "module" can b disabled as power to rest of syatem also is supplied by ANC....Depends on how u disconnect.. Clip so circuit is open or loop to close it...not sure how ANC logic in DSP will handle either.

I was just looking at the wiring diagram as well, it appears that it is a separate module but doesn't show where unless it's just built into the amp. In any event, you can always disconnect the microphones. Those are simple 2 pin connectors.
There has to be a way to turn that off, just need to dig into the programming and see where it is.

Too many mods to list for each, so let's just say a lot was done over the years.

Yes but keep in mind it is unknown what the ANC/DSP will do when the resistance and input (zero by disconnect or full with loop) are change from unplugging the mics...1 way to find out

As soon as someone lets me molest their Jeep or the dealer will let me go on an extended test drive...it's happening.
I don't think much will happen, my guess would be no input so no active cancelling, but like you said, only 1 real way to find out.

Re: JL stealth box 2015 summit problem

At the car audio shop I used to work at we had to do it regularly on Honda's/Acura's if we were adding subs to factory systems. It didn't cause a problem unplugging the mics. But that is a different system.

Re: JL stealth box 2015 summit problem

Just unplugged the 4 mics. No error codes on dash nor any difference felt while driving. It solved the problem. The jl sub is great! Just have to tune it a little bit.

Thanks for your help

The noise cancellation system is separate from UConnect so bluetooth would be unaffected.

Re: JL stealth box 2015 summit problem

I also just went through this on my 15 summit with the hk. I added a audison amp and jl audio 12w6. I was getting humming from the sub after install. Thought I could live with it but nope, disconnected the front 2 mics and put double sided tape over the rears. Works perfectly now and sounds amazing. I also upgraded the 3.5" and tweeters in the front door. Huge difference. Was gonna add new 6x9s but they are crossed over like a sub. Only bass coming from them.

Re: JL stealth box 2015 summit problem

2 in the front located above your head and the front passengers head. The 2 in the back are above the cargo area. Headliner is easy to pull down. Held on with velcro. I did wanna pull to mich on the back headliner so i just pulled out the mics and put the double sided tape over. Real easy and quick. That way if I ever go back to using i just gotta rip the tape off. Fronts are easy to disconnect as they are right there.

Re: JL stealth box 2015 summit problem

So hands free calling gets a little messed up adding a stealthbox to a HK system?
