Re: Jumpy Rearview Camera after 13.48.3 Update

I have been working with my local dealership and Jeep Customer Assistance Center. Jeep wanted me to take it to the dealership again today. I was told that there is a STAR Case (S1408000179) opened on 05/13/14 for this issue and a software update for this issue is due early second quarter 2014.

Re: Jumpy Rearview Camera after 13.48.3 Update

Anyone have problems viewing at night in low light ? Mine seems to focus on the light emitting from the reverse lights and then everything goes white on either side of the car.

Get the update 14.05.03 and you will have your fix. The issue is caused by a bug where another background application or function is interrupting the smooth streaming of video.

The update is available now. Follow the instructions and fix it yourself if you like.
I had my Jeep at the dealer last week to address the seat belt, airbag and park sense indicators (constantly on). I also mentioned to the service writer that my radio sometimes displays "Vehicle phone requires service". So they addressed everything with software and module updates. This included updating the radio software to 14.05.3. I now have the jittery back up camera. Previous version was 13.19... which was smooth. Fix one thing something else gets wacky. Little things I know, but annoying and inconvenient trips to the dealer. BTW, my steering wheel shimmy magically reappeared ....third road force balance attempt by the dealer. I think I'll take it to a dedicated tire shop this time to have it road force balanced. Maybe Chrysler will pick up the cost, yeah right. Still love my Jeep.

Took mine to a dedicated tire shop in Germany to have it road force balanced. Perfect!
My dealer offered to cover the expense, as they could not get it done pefectly twice in a row.

Re: Jumpy Rearview Camera after 13.48.3 Update

How do I update the radio myself? If there a link to the steps needed?

Also, is there a page that I can navigate to in order to download the updates mentioned here?
