Re: Jumpy Rearview Camera after 13.48.3 Update
I took my JGC in earlier this month to have the issue fixed. The dealer said the only repair protocol they had was to replace the camera, which they did. Unfortunately, the problem continues, and the Service Manager's only response was that other 2014 JGC's on the lot do the same thing...so it's standard operation for the rearview camera. They suggested I complain to Chrysler so they will eventually address the issue...I too suspect it is a problem with the UConnect interface and/or processor, and not the camera.
Jeep Enhanced Customer Care has been following my case, but they want me to take my JCG to another dealer for a "second opinion." I don't know what that will accomplish since Jeep engineers already were engaged with the first dealership.
I just want my rearview camera to not jump/flicker and stay still like it used to. I hate this notion that I should lower my expectations and accept this poor quality performance...it's tough to talk up my Jeep to my friends...
