Do you even know how this system works? Your claims here have a serious [citation needed], because you're going to have to explain how a credit card number that is locked to a single merchant, with a preset spending limit, that can be canceled by the user at any time, is somehow "unsafe".

Seconds after the charge goes through I could email the card number, expiration date, and the CSC/CVV2 code directly to credit card thieves and nothing would happen because they couldn't do anything with it: any charge would be denied. And that's even if I *don't* cancel the number.

I have my questions about ShopSafe too as that puts my information in one more set of hands.
I am becoming rather convinced you're confused about what ShopSafe is, because this sentence doesn't make any sense.

I might have given you the enhanced privacy aspect of using the gift cards, but I hate to break it to you: if you're the original owner of your Jeep then Chrysler sold you out to SXM at the time of purchase. I never agreed to or wanted SXM to receive my information, but they got it anyway... and it wasn't from me. Furthermore, I actually never agreed to or wanted Chrysler to have my address, but the dealer gave them that information too.

So, who's this "one more set of hands" in this scenario? We have Chrysler, my credit card company, and SXM, all of whom already have my name, address, and phone number.

There are no hoops in getting the gift cards. I just go online and redeem my points for what I want and they come in the mail in a couple of days.
So, just to get this straight: you presumably have to go online to your credit card company rewards website, login, order the gift cards, wait for them to arrive in the mail, login to the SXM website, input the code from the cards, and this multi-day exercise is supposedly "no hoops"/more convenient than simply generating an effectively fraud-proof one-time use credit card number from your credit card company website in under two minutes?

Okay, whatever paddles your canoe...

I got 5 months for $25 including fees for the select package. I have learned my lessons with Sirius. I pay $2 extra for the invoice payment and pay with a check. They will keep renewing your subscription if at their regular rate if they have your credit card on file.

They will charge you $2.00 to send you an invoice by mail.

I use the reduced cost "mostly music" option, but don't do the maneuvering to try to get a few bucks off.
I agree the quality of the sound is not real good compared to CD, but is good enough for a few bucks a month.
I'd have to wager that you're an exception, not the rule.

Re: Just Renewed SiriusXM for 6 Months...$33.68

I found out the rest of the news story. Sirius lost the class action lawsuit!!

Sirius has to pay out 3.8 million too overcharged members in 45 states!!

Auto renew and not allowing members too cancel was top of the list !!
